Malaysia Property Award 2011FIABCI Award of Distinction initiated 19 years ago to find the best projects in Malaysia to compete internationally in the Prix d’Excellence Award has come a long way. The Award is now known as the Malaysia Property AwardTM, this is to include projects throughout the country. In the early years it was difficult to secure sponsorship. Over the years, FIABCI Malaysia has built a creditable Award for the Real Estate Industry. The process of selecting the winners has gone through many changes taking into comments of all relevant parties. On it transparency and ensuring that the winners really deserve the accolade on its own merit. Today the Malaysia Property AwardTM is a much sought after award by the Real Estate Developers.

According to En. Abdullah Abdul Rahman, Head of Mortgage, Maybank is pleased to continue to support the Malaysia Property AwardTM. He noted that the Award is helping the industry to raise its benchmark on quality, design and sustainability. The fact that the Malaysia Property AwardTM winners go on to win the international Prix d’Excellence Awards speak volume on the standard of the Malaysian Real Estate industry. Maybank has continued as the Official Sponsor of this Award since 2008. Its sees the effort by FIABCI in raising the standard of the industry as a worthwhile course.

The 2011 Malaysia Property AwardTM ceremony will be held on 15 October 2011 at One World Hotel, Bandar Utama at the end of the FIABCI Asia Pacific Real Estate Congress (APREC) which starts on 12 October 2011. 1,000 delegates are expected at the Congress comprising of both local and oversea participants.

The Sultan of Selangor has been invited as the Guest of Honour for the Award Ceremony. 1,500 industry players, members and foreign guests are expected to attend this annual Gala Dinner.
